Definitely a classic. The author writes about systemic (even: algorithmic) discrimination in various fields.
Expensive insurance premiums, dismissed job applications, poor performance evaluation at the workplace, highly targeted election propaganda, creepy consumer marketing, ridiculously expensive and useless for-profit colleges - a lot of areas have been profoundly transformed by the new tools of “Big Data”. A frightening but necessary read.
